Service

The initial service of your Vonkat suspension is the most important step to extending its longevity. Even with today's precise machining, just like an automobile engine, there is a break-in period for the piston ring to fully seat into the cylinder wall. The resulting grit, if left unchecked, can cause premature wear.

For normal riding, we recommend an initial service at 40 hours of use. If you are an aggressive, “sender” type of rider who frequently goes through the entire stroke on any given ride, we suggest an initial service after no more than 30 hours of riding time. After this first service, the maintenance intervals are extended by 10 additional hours of riding time. Click here for warranty information
